Rhyan began his real estate career in 2005 and quickly transitioned from individual production to business ownership. In 2008, he founded the Rhyan Finch Real Estate Team and scaled it through one of the most challenging market cycles in history. Within five years, the team became the top-producing team in the Hampton Roads market, selling over 900 homes annually and establishing the operational foundation that would later fuel national expansion.
Building on this success, Rhyan founded 1st Class Real Estate as an independent brokerage headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As Founder, CEO, and Principal Broker, he scaled the company into a national brand with over 1,000 agents and locations across the country, consistently ranking among the top-performing real estate organizations in their respective markets.
Through 1st Class Franchising, Rhyan successfully sold 144 franchise units and area representative territories nationwide, building a repeatable, systems-driven franchising model designed for scalability and long-term value. As part of this growth strategy, Rhyan also sold three corporate-owned brokerage locations for a combined $1.25 million, demonstrating his ability not only to scale businesses, but to exit them profitably.
In addition to brokerage and franchising, Rhyan is the co-founder of a national title and escrow company and a hard money/private lending company, further expanding his footprint across the real estate and financial services ecosystem. These ventures allowed him to vertically integrate operations, improve margins, and create multiple revenue channels; expertise he now brings to founders looking to strengthen and diversify their own businesses.
